Jeremiah 1:12  Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I watch over my word to perform it.

 

Isa 55:11  so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

 

Heb 4:12  For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two–edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.

 

Rom 10:17  So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

 

Psa 107:20  He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.

 

 

God not only stands behind His word by confirming it, He also uses it to develop faith within us so we can receive His provisions. This is why you must put it in your heart so you can have faith in God meeting your needs. Your faith will be activated so that your healing becomes a reality.

 

Please pray the following sample prayer as you begin. Note: Praying may be something you have done countless times or this may be your first time. Let me assure you that God does hear even the simplest of prayers.

 

Sample Prayer:

Father in Heaven I thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for me and take the punishment for my sins. Your word also says that Christ provided healing for sickness. I ask in Jesus'  Name that as I listen to your word and your promises, your provision of healing would manifest in my body. I take authority over disease and sickness that afflicts me and command these to leave.  Jesus You are the same yesterday, today and  forever. That means you are still able and willing to heal me now in my time of need.  I command all distractions and blockages in the mind and spirit to be lifted away so that I can receive Your word, have my faith increase and be restored to health. I thank you Lord, for all praise belongs to you. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen

 

Early in the scriptures God reveals Himself as the God of Healing.

 

Exodus 15:26 -   I am the God who heals you.

 

Exodus 23:25 -   And when you serve God, He will bless your bread and water, then take sickness from you.  There will be no more barrenness nor miscarriages in the land.

Jeremiah 30:17 -  

   I will give you health and heal you of your wounds says the Lord.

 

Jeremiah 33:3 -  Call to Me and I will answer you. Then I will show you great and mighty things that you don’t know about.

 

Jeremiah 33:6 -  I will heal my people and let them enjoy abundant peace and security.

 

God's provisions are made available to us because God in His own mercy and compassion reaches out to us when our faith is exercised. David experienced God's provisions despite of failure. David said:

 

Psalm 103:1-4 - Bless the Lord, my soul. I will bless His Holy Name with everything that is in me. I will bless the Lord and not forget any of His benefits. He forgives all my iniquities. He heals all my diseases. He delivers me from destruction. He floods me with loving; kindness and tender mercy. He satisfies my mouth with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagles.

 

Psalm 147:3  - He heals the brokenhearted and their wounds.

 

Psalm 107:20 - He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction.

 

The following two references in scripture underline the importance of putting God's word into your spirit:

 

Proverbs 4:20-23 -

   My son listen to my words and my sayings. Don’t let them leave your eyes, keep them in your heart, for they are medicine to all that find them and health to all their flesh. Guard your heart carefully, for out of it come the issues of life.

 

Romans 10:17 - Faith comes from hearing the word of God.

 

Jesus Christ Provides Healing

 

An Old Testament passage speaks of the provisions of God that would come through Jesus Christ.

 

Isaiah 53:5    - Jesus Christ was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our sins, the punishment for our peace was put on Him and by His stripes we are healed.

 

In this verse that you have just read; it says that the punishment for your peace was put on Him and by His stripes you are healed.

 

1 Peter 2:24 - It says by His stripes you were healed.

 

This means healing is already provided for all who will reach out in faith and receive it.

 

His Power is Delegated

 

The authority of Christ is delegated to all Believers. We are commissioned to take the good news of salvation so people will be saved. We are told to pray for the sick so they can recover. The authority of Christ is invested in the Believer.

 

In Matthew 10, Mark 6 and Luke chapter 9 Jesus gave power to the disciples to cast out demons and to heal all kinds of sickness and disease.

 

1 John 3:8 - For this reason Jesus came; to destroy the works of the devil.

 

Matthew  10:7,8 - 

   Jesus said to the disciples: Go and preach this message. The Kingdom of Heaven is close to you. Heal the sick and the lepers. Resurrect the dead and cast out demons. You have received free of charge now freely give it to others.

 

Mark 16:17 These miracles will follow those that believe in my name. They will force out demons and speak in other languages. They will have power over serpents. If they drink anything poison it will not hurt them. They will place their hands on the sick in prayer and they will get better.

 

James 5:14,15- 

   Is any one of you sick? He should call for the spiritual leaders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. Their prayers spoken in faith will make the sick person well for the Lord will raise him up.

 

Just as the gift of salvation is received through faith in what Christ provided so His provision of healing comes through faith.

 

Romans 10:17  Faith comes by hearing the word at God.

 

Prepare Yourself to Receive His Healing

 

You must fill your spirit with God’s healing promises. As you feed your spirit with His healing promises faith begins to reach out to the provision. Hearing His word on Healing produces faith; then substance or the reality of the provision manifests.

 

Hebrews 11:1  -  Faith brings the substance of things hoped for. It releases the evidence of things not yet being experienced.

 

You may have faith that God has healed others or will heal someone else, but you may struggle with faith for your own healing. Maybe you feel others are more special in God's sight than you. However, His word says:

 

Acts 10:34  God is not a respecter of persons.

 

This means that God doesn't show partiality or pick and choose.

Rather He responds to the faith of all who come to Him. If He

will heal others, He will heal you also.

 

Exodus 15:26 -  I am the Lord that heals you.

 

 

Exodus 23:25 -  When you serve the Lord your God He will bless your bread and water. He will take sickness from you and there will be no more barrenness nor miscarriages in the land.

 

 

Matthew 4:23,24 -

   Jesus traveled through Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news of God’s& kingdom. He healed all kinds sickness and  disease among the people. His fame spread into Syria. The people brought to him many sick people bothered with different diseases and torments. Also those who were possessed with demons, and those with mental disorders, and the paralyzed. He healed them all.

 

Jesus will Hear Your Prayer

 

 

Hebrews 13:8 -  Jesus Christ never ever changes.

 

Acts 10:38  - God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holly Ghost and with power. He went around doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil.

 

1 John 3:8  - For this reason Jesus came, to destroy the works of the devil.

 

Matthew 8:16,17 

   And when the night came they brought to Him many that were possessed by demons and He forced those spirits out with His word, and healed all that were sick. Thisfulfilled what Isaiah said when he said He bore our weakness and carried our infirmities.

 

Mark 1:29-31 - After they left the synagogue, they went with James andJohn to the house of Simon and Andrew. Simon's mother-in- law was in bed with a fever, and they told Jesus about her.So he went to her, took her by the hand and helped her up. The fever left her. 

Mark 1: 32-34  - That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon - possessed. The whole town gathered at the door, and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but would not let the demons speak, because they knew who he was.

Mark 1:40-43 - A man with leprosy came to him and begged on his knees, If you are willing, you can make me clean." Filled with; compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. " I am willing" he said. “Be clean." Immediately hewas healed.

 

Notice in this verse that the Bible records for us that Jesus was willing to heal  the man.  He is also willing to heal you today. Will you dare to believe His word for your need?

 

 

 

Mark 5:24-34 -  A large crowd followed and pressed around him. A woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered greatly under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched     his robe, because she thought, " If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and; she felt in her body that she was free from her suffering.; At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him.  He turned around in the crowd and asked, " Who touched Me? “You see the people crowding against you,"his disciples answered, and " yet you ask, who touched me?

 

But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened  to her, came and bowed at his feet, and trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, " Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

 

Notice that Jesus said to her, " Daughter, your faith has healed you." When healing comes someone’s faith will need to be in operation. Now it should be operating in those that you ask to pray for you. It also should be operating in you for then you have a direct connection to the power of Jesus just as this lady did in Mark chapter five.

 

It is so important to understand that God can answer immediately as in a miracle or He can bring the healing over time. Sometimes people pray and because a instant miracle doesn't occur they stop believing and lose their healing. We need to believe God for miracles and also believe Him for healing that takes time of recovery. When the prayer of faith is offered a change in the condition will begin. Don't stop believing until it is complete.

 

Mark 16:17  - These signs will follow believers, in my name. They will force out demons, they will speak in new languages, they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will recover

 

James 5:14,15  -

Is anyone of you sick? He should call for the leaders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.

 

Notice: Both terms " recovering" and  “getting well” indicates that as soon as the prayer faith was offered something began to happen as God began to work. Do your part by continuing to believe for the full manifestation of the healing.

 

 

 

Additional Promises

 

3 John 2  - Beloved, I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

 

Mark 9:23 - Jesus said, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.

 

Mark 11:24 -  Whatever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

 

Matthew 21:22 - If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

 

John 8: 31,32 -  If you continue in My word, then you are my disciples, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

 

John 15:7 -  If you abide in Me, Jesus said, and My words abide in you, you can ask what you want and it shall be done for you.

 

My Personal Prayer for You

 

Heavenly Father, I come now in Jesus mighty name to pray for those that are sick or suffering. You have already defeated sickness and suffering. You are victorious over all of it. Jesus, I ask that your blood would cover this person. Where they are guilty of sin, please have mercy and forgive them. I take authority over their affliction and command it to be removed from their body. I command in your Name that health would return to their life. I bind every oppressing spirit that stands in the way and command it to leave this person and never return. I command blind eyes to see, deaf ears to hear, hearts to be healed and paralysis to leave. I command muscles to be restored, bones and joints to be made new, backs to be straight and cancer to leave. I order tumors to dissolve, lungs to be healed, blood conditions made whole, viruses to die and damaged bodies to be restored. Let there be full restoration, full health and complete healing now. By your stripes we were healed and are healed. Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank you that your anointing lifts every burden and destroys every yoke of oppression. I give you the praise for all that you do. Amen.

 

Now in response to what we have prayed, try to do what you couldn't do because of your sickness, affliction or injury. Did a miracle occur with immediate results or are you entering a time of recovery?  Move that part in faith. Continue to operate your faith to overcome. Go to your doctor to check the condition. Your doctor may have to adjust your medications as the healing manifests over the next few days. Continue putting your faith in His Word. Continue to pray and seek the Presence of God. May God bless you in every way.
